Woman's Club Meets
The Moville Woman's Club held its
regular monthly meeting at the United
Methodist Church on Friday, Septem-
ber 10, 1999.
A luncheon was served by Helen
Maxwell and Lois Nash, assisted by
Sara McElrath and Lucille Michener.
Glenn A. Metcalf gave a talk about
the Woodbury County Library dealing
with its past, its present and its future
contributions to our community.
The regular business meeting fol-
lowed the program.
The next meeting will be on Friday,
October IsL at the Immaculate Concep-
tion Catholic Church. Margaret Speke
Davison will present a program about
the people and problems of Nigeria.

Services were at 11:0o a.m. Wednes-
day, September 15, 1999 at Homick
United Methodist Church, with the
Ray. Terra Amundsen officiating. Bur-
ial was in Willow Township Cemetery.
Holly Springs, Iowa. Wood Funeral
Chapel in Sloan, Iowa was in charge of
arrangements.
Mrs. Sieger was born December 27,
1928, in Homiek, the daughter of Earl
and Minnie (Cliff) Johnston. She
graduated from Hornick-Holly Springs
High School.
She married Gerald "Jerry" Sieger on
November 17, 1950, in Hornick. He
died April 10, 1984, in Onawa, Iowa.
She was employed as a bookkeeper
with Farmer's Co-op Elevator in Her-
nick and Hirschbach Motor Lines in
South Sioux City for many years. She
was then employed with Telequest
Marketing in Sergeant Bluff.
She was a member of Hornick United
Methodist Church, church choir and
American Legion Hindman-Steele
Auxiliary.
She sang for several years with Treble
Clefs singing group in Sioux City. She
enjoyed her pets, collecting ceramic
churches, shopping and music.
Survivors include a son and his wife,
Jim and Vickie of Hornick; a daughter
and her husband, Diane and Tom
Stangl of Le Mars, Iowa; four grand-
children, Jill and Jami Sieger and Lind-
say and Madison Stangl; a brother and
his wife, Roy and Beth Johnston of
Sioux City; two sisters, Edna and her
husband, Cleland Stow, of Palmdhle,
California, and Lily Flewelling of
St. Lukes

lrena May Smith, 96, of Sioux City
died Tuesday, September 7, 1999.
Private family services were con-
ducted by the Rev. E.D. Pappadackis.
Burial was in Arlington Township
Cemetery, Moville, Iowa. Christy-
Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux
City were in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Smith was born September 27,
1902, in Kingsley, Iowa, the daughter
of William and Ella (Long) Robinson.
She attended school in rural Moville.
She married Roy A. Smith in 1963 in

ers: Lou, Lester, and LeRoy Robinson.
